Maritime take delivery of 100 new trailers

Posted 23 May 2016

Maritime Transport Limited (Maritime) are thrilled to announce that they have taken delivery of another 100 4-metre XL Clearspan trailers as it expands its Distribution division once more.

The trailers have been supplied by trusted long-term partner Lawrence David, and have arrived at a point where Maritime’s portfolio continues to grow.

“We are pleased to be in a position to expand our fleet like this,” said Mark Bloom, Regional Engineer. “This move comes at a point where we are not just reacting to the demands of our increasing client-base; we are also expecting another upturn in business for the Distribution division, so with this order we are getting ourselves into a position to meet those customers’ needs.”

"We are continually impressed with the way they are growing"

The trailers are equipped with a Haldex Soft Dock which consists of sensors on a rear frame to help the driver back onto a loading bay without causing any damage. The sensors automatically engage the brakes if the trailer becomes too close to the dock.

Andrew Dodge, Director of Sales at Lawrence David, said: “We are pleased to continue our long-standing association with Maritime and provide them with another 100 trailers. We are continually impressed with the way they are growing and are happy to be supplying them the trailers they need to continue along the same vein.”

Maritime handles over 14,000 moves a week on the strength of a fleet of over 1,500 trucks and a national network of 27 depots.
