Maritime continue fleet expansion

Posted 09 Jun 2016

Maritime Transport Limited (Maritime) has today announced they’ve placed an order for 30 new tractor units from one of their main suppliers, Volvo Trucks.

The order is for 30 FH Globetrotter XL models and comes fresh on the back of an order for 100 new curtainsider trailers that were bought as part of a fleet expansion for Maritime.

“We have been pleased with the fantastic running costs of the Euro-6 Volvos we already have in our fleet, so it made perfect sense to expand on our range with these new vehicles,” said Stuart Wardlaw, Fleet Engineer. “The feedback we’ve had from our drivers on them has been resoundingly positive as well, which was another factor we bore in mind when preparing this order.”

"As a leader in its field, Maritime's values align closely with those of Volvo"

Mike Corcoran, Commercial Director, Volvo Trucks, said: “Both Volvo Trucks and our dealer network, are absolutely delighted to continue to be Maritime’s business partner of choice.  The Volvo FH was designed to be the best in its class when it comes to driver comfort, safety and security, and of course, optimising operating costs.  As a leader in its field, Maritime’s values align closely with those of Volvo - not just in terms of quality, but also safety and care for the environment. We are looking forward to continuing to work closely with Maritime as we deliver these 30 new trucks.”
