Integrated road haulage, container storage, and specialist container services at the Port of Liverpool, one of the UK’s best-connected west-coast port and logistics hubs.

In Liverpool, our transport and container depot brings road haulage, container storage, and specialist container services together at one of the UK’s best-connected west-coast port and logistics hubs. Located at East Hornby Dock, the site places road transport and container depot operations close to Liverpool2, the port’s deep-water container terminal, as well as rail freight connections and major road routes serving the North West, Midlands, and beyond. Following a multi-million-pound redevelopment, our Liverpool location has evolved from a long-established transport depot into a fully integrated transport and off-dock container depot operation. Container storage, handling, maintenance and repair now sit alongside dedicated road haulage, giving shipping lines, hauliers, and cargo owners greater flexibility over how containers are moved, held, prepared and released through the Port of Liverpool, including uncleared cargo stored securely under HMRC bonded approval. See what Liverpool offers below or contact our team to discuss your requirements.
Our Liverpool location provides an important port-centric base for road haulage, loaded and empty container storage, and specialist on-site container services at a major gateway to the UK’s industrial heartland.

By holding containers away from the quay, Liverpool can help reduce exposure to quay-side storage charges while keeping units within the Port of Liverpool for onward movement, inspection, or repair.
With multiple reach stackers and empty container handlers on site, Liverpool is equipped to handle loaded and empty container movements across large-scale and smaller storage requirements.
On-site container maintenance, repair, inspection and preparation services allow units to be checked, repaired, and returned to service without unnecessary repositioning.
HMRC-approved bonded storage allows uncleared cargo to be held securely while customs clearance is completed, giving cargo owners more control over release timing.
Road-based container transport, curtainsided distribution, loaded and empty container storage, handling, and specialist container services operate together across one Liverpool location.
Shunting and local repositioning support helps move containers and equipment efficiently around the port and surrounding area.
Charging infrastructure is under development for future eHGV operations, including six chargers capable of delivering up to 1MW.
