Supporting the Driver Administrator, you will be responsible for providing CPC training in house on an individual and group basis, providing targeted training and annual assessments. You will also record and maintain training electronically on our in house and external systems. It is therefore imperative that you are IT literate and a competent user of MS Office Word and Excel. Experience of Microlise software preferred but not essential.
As a highly experienced Class C+E Driver Trainer you will be qualified to AET Level 3 (training qualification or equivalent) with a working knowledge of container transport and distribution operations, you will be required to assess drivers and provide training, 'on the road', to ensure best practice is adopted at all time, in particular in defensive driving, fuel economy and proper use of vehicles and trailers.
You will be a confident and effective communicator with the ability to assess driver needs, complete administration tasks, provide instruction and complete confidential training reports as required.
The successful applicant will hold a Driver CPC qualification and tacho cards along with 2 years previous experience in driver CPC training. A clean driving licence, advanced driving qualification, ADR licence holder/ADR aware, IOSH qualification and First Aid Training not essential but will be an advantage. Ideally you will have at least 2 years UK commercial driving experience and vehicle manufacture training; Scania/Volvo/Mercedes/DAF.
Travel to other depots across the Midlands will be required along with flexibility as this role will involve some night/weekend working. Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. You will be capable of managing and prioritising your own workload and meeting performance targets.
