Maritime Transport attend Multimodal 2017

Posted 11 Apr 2017

Following the success of their attendance at Multimodal in 2016, Maritime Transport Ltd (Maritime) this year returned to the NEC for the three-day event, meeting several of their current customers whilst also discussing new opportunities with interested parties from across the industry.

Incorporating a bar and lounge area, as well as two meeting rooms, stand 5040 took inspiration from Maritime’s award winning head office in Felixstowe with smart finishing touches and a unique feel for Maritime’s guests.

Over the course of the exhibition, Maritime’s stand was a popular hub of conversation and saw many visitors try their hand at driving one of the popular Scania Highline replica Maritime vehicles around a track consisting of two bridges and a reversing bay – not as easy as it may sound!

“As a growing business we are working hard to focus our efforts on continuing to improve whilst ensuring we are offering our customers the best and most effective solutions.”

“Multimodal is a fantastic opportunity for us to meet with our customers and discuss any additional business with them,” explains Simon Smart, Managing Director – Containers. “We’ve had some really great feedback from those we met at the show and we’re looking forward to developing the new, and existing, relationships we’ve made since attending.”

Following a successful show, the celebrations continued for Maritime as they were again awarded ‘Road Freight Operator of the Year’, an award voted for by industry experts, for the second year running at the Multimodal Awards.

“We were delighted to walk away with the award in 2016, so to be nominated, and voted for as winners by our customers once again is fantastic,” said Tom Williams, Commercial Director. “As a growing business we are working hard to focus our efforts on continuing to improve whilst ensuring we are offering our customers the best and most effective solutions.”
