Fleet increase for Maritime

Posted 20 Jan 2017

Maritime Transport Ltd (Maritime) are delighted to have placed several substantial orders for new vehicles in 2017.

Due to several new contract wins and continued business development, Maritime have ordered a total of 230 new vehicles to be intergrated onto their fleet from March.

“It’s fantastic that we’ve been able to order over 200 new vehicles for our fleet” said Stuart Wardlaw, Fleet Engineer. “The vehicles are a mixture of Volvo’s, Scania’s and Mercedes and will be intergrated onto the fleet at several of our locations throughout the Spring and Summer of this year.”

"We're delighted to have been able to order a significant amount of vehicles from each manufacturer"

All of the new vehicles are Euro 6 and therefore inkeeping with Maritime’s policy of providing low emission transport for their customers and a proportion of the new Scania’s arriving will be from their recently released collection of new generation vehicles.

“We have great relationships with Volvo, Scania and Mercedes and each marque benefits our fleet in a different way” said Mark Bloom, Regional Engineer - Vehicles. “We’re delighted to have been able to order a significant amount of vehicles from each manufacturer and look forward to receiving the new vehicles over the next few months.”
