Maritime Transport is the fastest growing transport and logistics company in the UK today. From a small, five-site organisation when it was acquired into private ownership in 2001, we now have over 30 sites and 160 acres of mixed freehold and leased properties, comprising of offices, transport and open storage depots, rail terminals and warehouses.

Role:

We are looking to build a small property team to cover the Midlands. The role will include property maintenance, repairs and small to medium sized projects. Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, your role will be wide ranging and amongst other tasks, include:

  • Concrete Works

  • Brick and Blockwork

  • Plasterboarding/Plastering

  • Plumbing

  • Rudimentary Electrics

  • Screeding

  • Carpentry

  • Basic glazing

  • Decorating 

The Person:     

 You will be a hardworking, hands-on, flexible and talented, multi-skilled individual, able to turn your hand to many trades and work to high standards. You will be a self-starter, happily working on your own and equally at ease working with others, as necessary. Although based at Dordon, you will be required to travel as the role covers our sites across the Midlands and from time to time, depending on the work involved, you may work away for days at a time. You will have a full drivers' licence (six points or less is essential). Training will be given, but working at heights on MEWPs and driving FLTs would be an advantage, as would basic computer literacy.
